about me

    • I am an artist working in the medium of oil. I believe that painting should touch, intrigue and persuade the audience to reflection. I try to follow this way.

    • Everything started from the small book of Gerthruda Stein "Picasso", that I read at high school. I discovered a new world - the world of art.

    • Following the family tradition I began studying law. At the same time I was drawing and painting more and more. After three years it occured to me that the law faculty was not my place, that my passions and interests were going in a completelty different direction.

    • I spent a half a year in Chicago. This change of environment got me away from my life so far. I regurarly visited The Art Institute of Chicago with a very rich collection of painting from El Greco to de Kooning. I was exploring also the Chicago urban landscape with the works of Sulivann, Wright and Mies van der Rhoe, since I felt it important to understand contemporary architecture. Standing simply in the squares among the skyscrapers, I observed the sculptures of Moor and Picasso. I travelled. I was drinking in marvellous collections of art in the museums and galleries of New York and Los Angeles. It allowed me to realize that I want to - and would - paint.

    • On returning to Warsaw, I began to study painting in the class of Prof Rajmund Ziemski. I was very lucky to work four years under the supervision of this suberb painter, excellent educator and man of great class and personal culture.

    • In order to continually develop, I frequently visit museums, monuments and other timeless places in the world. I strive to learn about different cultures, attitudes and visions of the world. Through this I hope to keep an awareness of the history of culture and art while at the same time obtaining fresh perspectives and sources of inspiration.
